well, so far I do feel they do a above average job in most cases.
sure, it might not be done right away, or it be done as what we imagine, but hey, I for one admite that as a player I dont see the big picture. Picking up chat here and there is hardly the big picture=P(or they wouldnt need GG)

I am not saying GW is perfect, I still think both storyline is crapy, which I e-mail them a few times already(nice to know they get a well known for Nightfall) I still find skill combo bug every now and then(the shortest fix I see is 1 week, longest is 1 month) I still dont like the auto-reply thing when I report bot, I understand it save work load and its the most logical way to do things, I just dont like it=P

I hope they can do better, but that doesnt means I dont think they are doing good now=P

so~~~ GOOD JOB A-Net
I should make you a thank you card again.
I will try not to do something as corny as using gold to spell thank you this time=P

When I looked at the title, first thought that came to mind was another sarcastic thread that flamed Anet :P.

And I agree, it seems like they're listening to what we all want, and it's nice to see that happening.

Some things like this- you need to expect that from companies, because in the end, it's all about business and making money, but I do thing they've gone above and beyond that.

New graphic updates, build saving templates, the guild wars store as mentioned, new skills AND armor for the assassin and ritualist.

By the way Gaile, next time you see the man or woman who's been creating names for the new skills (eg "Cant Touch This," and "The Power Is Yours!")..Tell him/her to keep it up..some hilarious stuff there lol.

Life would be very dull if we knew everything though, wouldn't it?

Everyone post! Hurry! Get your name on the Wall of Fame!

Actually, with Nightfall I do see them listening more and implementing more of our suggestions. I really can't find much in Factions (granted I didn't look very hard) that was asked for by the community. I personally feel part of the reason is that Factions was already started before we had suggestions. With Nightfall this was totally different, they had TONS of suggestions to look at and think upon before setting out with what they wanted to place in the game.

Its taken a bit, but I believe that future expansions will continue to follow this path, containing more and more of what we are asking for.

I'm still a little skeptical about Nightfall after Factions, but with what I've seen so far, it really looks like they listened to us. And I feel that most everything we get in Nightfall is something we'll have asked for. Which if you think about it compared to other games...IS AWESOME!

unmatchedfury : hmm i know worse ones .. for example Horizons support, you try trial, they charge for it, you send a ticket about it, and you never get reply that you see money back, just ripoff company!

Agreed with OP. Thank you A-net, glad to see that the community has been heard. This is the reason that I continue to invest my time and money into the game. I tend to stay loyal to game companies that listen to their customers and keep in contact with the community (which is why I still love Bungie and the Halo series), and seeing this in A-net just means that I'll be sticking by them for a long time.

LOL how true, how true!!
I am amazed at the difference and also at the ease of Guild Wars. No more going to find and d/l huge patches. No waiting several minutes for the game to load every time you play. No hunting for severs to play on

Indeed, Anet always starts "listening" around a month before a new chapter hits the shelves. I wonder why...

Gaile, got another one for your wall:

My girlfriend doesn't like computer games at all - don't ask me why, but I never even got her to try out the beauty of Guild Wars. Anway, not too long ago I was complaining that I had to reskill my necro from PvE to PvP setup and bored her with all my bitching about how I probably should buy another character slot for a PvP necro so I don't have to reskill all the time. A few days ago I came home and she said: "guess what I read in one of your RSS feeds (they are shown on my screensaver)? you'll be able to save your skill setups in the next chapter of that stupid game you obviously love so much more than me. Well, at least there obviously are some cool people behind it who listen to your whining."

I have to say that I agree with her (well, not the part about the game ) - Nightfall seems to be one giant present to all the players who begged for certain features. So thanks for that - you guys rock!

But even though you are cool my girlfriend still thinks I'm insane to buy yet another collectors edition for that "stupid game"

So, you like factions and you agree that it has cool features but they should still be fired? Interesting point of view.

I purchased Guild Wars Prophecies last weekend and have been playing it every night. I used to play Counter Strike all the time but lately I read a lot about GW at work (lol) and so I thought why not give it a try. And I've enjoyed it very much. The best part for me, is that even slow internet connection would work. Don't get me wrong, I have cable internet with 15mb/s downstream, but my roommate frigging downloads bittorrents 24/7, but even so, GW runs smootly for the most part!! I also look forward to Nightfall very much and preordered it already, now all I need is more time!!!!

Oh and yes, F**K EA and BF2!!! buggiest game and worst patches ever!!

Oh also, I bought the GW GOTYE but couldn't get the bonus items in game, so I contacted Anet/NCSoft, and man, they responded so quickly. The situation has not been resolved yet, but I receive an update on a daily basis on how the problem is being handled. That's good customer support right there!!

So thank you A-net, and keep up the good work

Cheers

Having just hit the 1 year mark myself, I love this game, more love for gw1 then factions, but still well worth the 50 bucks.........so far i have spent 200 bucks 2 copys of each title = 1200 hours of game time, what is that? 1 cent a minute? best penny ever spent
